Bridgeport Alternate Directions

Due to local events, there may be increased traffic or road closures in route to the Bridgeport Dock and Terminal. We recommend allowing extra travel time.

Below are alternate routes to bypass the traffic:

From 95 North:

Exit 27, right on Myrtle Avenue, left on Railroad Avenue to Ferry Access Road

From 95 South:

Exit 27 to downtown, straight on South Avenue to Myrtle Avenue, left on Myrtle Avenue, left on Railroad Avenue to Ferry Access Road

From route 8/25 South:

Exit 1, stay straight at the end of the ramp to continue on Myrtle Avenue, left on Railroad Avenue to Ferry Access Road During these times, when the ferry is unloading, vehicles will be exiting through the north exit to Water Street and must take a right and follow signs to 95 and route 8. Large vehicles, ones with trailers, and heights over 10'7 will have to exit the terminal via Ferry Access Road.

Important notes: If Lafayette and Broad street are closed; Myrtle Avenue to Railroad Avenue to Ferry Access is the PREFERRED route for ferry bound people. Those traveling 95 south to the ferry should expect the most significant delays.
