We do offer shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal and the below designated parking locations. Our shuttle can pick you up by calling (203) 836-9955. Please allow enough time for parking, shuttle transit, and ticket purchase.

The Ferry company does not have parking. The Port Jefferson Marina parking lot is adjacent to the Ferry and is operated by Town Of Brookhaven. Depending upon the season, the Town of Brookhaven charges for daily parking. Please call Brookhaven for details 631-451- 6100.
You may purchase Car and Driver Tickets with additional in vehicle passengers online at this time. All Walk On tickets as well as any other tickets are to be purchased at each terminal prior to departure.
You will receive an email with your ticket attached after you make payment. Print the ticket ahead of time as it has a barcode. Our staff will ask to scan the barcode to verify the ticket and then you and your will be placed in line to board the next vessel. Arrive at the ferry no later than 30 minutes prior to departure to have your ticket scanned and be placed in line. Arrivals with less than 15 minutes until departure will result in forfeiture of your position on the current vessel and your departure will be on a later vessel.

You may buy Walk On tickets (and any other type of ticket) inside at each terminal at anytime prior to departure.
Yes. You will need a ticket in hand before you may board the vessel. This is a change that allows a larger number of our staff to serve you.
One should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to buy you tickets at the terminal. All passengers must have a ticket prior to boarding the vessel. It is REQUIRED that vehicles will be in line and ready to load 15 MINUTES BEFORE SCHEDULED SAILING OR THE RESERVATION WILL BE FORFEITED and the vehicle will be considered STANDBY.
Reservations are not required, but recommended. If you travel without reservations you will be considered a standby.
If you did not receive your confirmation email, please notify us and we will send you one.
The Call Center phone hours are in operation from 6AM-8PM, everyday except December 25th.
Reservations can be made up to 2 hours in advance of the departure (depending on availability).
Reservations are not required for Walk-On passengers. We cannot reserve single Motorcycles spaces, however reservations for Motorcycles traveling in groups of 2 or more are strongly recommended. You may buy your tickets inside the terminal building.

You are considered a standby when you do not have a reservation, or if you arrive later than 15 minutes before your scheduled departure if you do have a reservation.
Yes, however, you will be considered standby and the monies you paid for the initial reservation will be honored on the ferry same day only.
You may purchase Monthly Walk On passes at the Port Jefferson Office in person. Credit card or cash accepted. No checks.
Pets are allowed on the ferry at no extra charge. Leashed or in a pet carrier. Pets must be kept outside the main cabin. Pets are limited to the back or upper decks.

Freight may only be shipped once a day on the 12 PM ferry. The ferry company does not ship anything over 100 lbs. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to fill out the required paper work. Proper picture I.D. is required.

The train station in Port Jefferson is approximately 1 mile from the ferry. The train station in Bridgeport is less than ¼ mile from the ferry.
We do have a discount for our senior walk on passengers.

The ferry travels between Port Jefferson, N.Y. and Bridgeport, CT. via the Long Island Sound.
The shuttle runs all day in Bridgeport starting an hour before the first departure and approximately every 15 minutes.
Cancellations and ticket transfer requests must be submitted through the call center (888-443-3779) during regular office hours. All Ticket Cancellations will be subject to a $5 Service Fee.*
Ticket Cancellation notices submitted less than three (3) hour prior to the reserved sailing time will incur a $25 cancellation fee.*
Ticket cancellations will NOT be accepted after the scheduled sailing time, failure to cancel prior to the departure time will result in forfeiture of the full amount paid (including Tickets paid by Barnum Bucks). * Tickets purchased with Barnum Bucks will not incur service fees however will be subject to forfeiture after the departure time.
Tickets for departures on Christmas Day, December 25 and the morning of December 26 must be cancelled by 8:00 PM December 24.

Yes. Each vessel offers concessions with a wide variety of choices. There is a lounge area also for our 21 year old and over travelers.
TIME LIMIT AND FORUM OF SUITS. No civil action against the Company, its personnel or its vessels may be brought more than one year after the occurrence if based on personal injury or death, or six months after passage if based on other claims (including property loss/damage), and any such suits must be brought in either the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Central Islip) or state court in Suffolk County, NY. The aggregate liability for property loss/damage is limited to $1,000 per occurrence.
